Caryl

I’ve spent all of my working career working in the TV industry across the UK, with over 20 years as a Script Supervisor and now as a Multi-Camera Director.  

I thrive in a gallery environment, and have directed live rock music, intimate folk and pop, classical concerts, fixed-rig and studio programmes – both scripted and unscripted – working with well-known production companies and broadcasters across the UK. I’m always the calm voice on the talkback, and happy in studio, outside broadcast or fly-away galleries.  

In 2023, I was selected to take part in the prestigious IMZ Academy’s Directing for Classical Music Masterclass, which raised my profile across the classical music television scene across Europe. I was also selected by Directors UK to be part of their Inspire programme, which means I’m currently being mentored by one of the top classical music directors, Rhodri Huw. 

Music is my passion and I love being creative. I have a BMus from Cardiff University, and I feel so privileged to have have been able to carve out a career for myself that includes my two passions – directing and music. 

By working together we can create something very special for your audiences. I bring years of experience, musical intuition, creativity as well as a strong work ethic, leadership and a lot of enthusiasm! I’m also open to innovative new ways of working.
